When local confectionary tycoon Michael Feakes missing, Nottinghamshire Echo reporter Amber Williams is on the case, sure it might not be anything as exciting as a murder, but hey, it sure beats having to cover yet another duck race!
ABOUT THE WRITER
Katy is a disabled writer from the Midlands, who came to writing later in life after literally being hit by a car. Having come face to face with the Grim Reaper and left with life-changing injuries, she re-evaluated her life and decided to make it even more difficult by becoming a writer. She currently has work optioned with Studio 21 and was part of the Paines Plough 2024-2025 Tour The Writer Mentored Scheme.
When not writing Katy makes up one of only a handful of disabled women working in construction, runs an international book club and tootles around spooky old places in search of the cake shop.
