Parasomnia is a compelling returnable drama set against the rich landscape of Edinburgh and the surrounding countyryside. When Scottish university psychiatrist EVE DRUMMOND (29) starts treating sleep-deprived client AIDAN MOIR (28) he seems to be suffering from a rare parasomnia – a chronic nightmare disorder with an unusual feature – he can’t remember the nightmares.

Using Eve’s relaxation techniques, Aidan starts to recall flashes of his dreams – disturbing images of blood and dismemberment. When Eve hypnotises him, an apparently different personality introduces himself – super-confident CARL.

Her feature script Mata Hari – A Magnificent Lie was an Academy Nicholls Fellowship quarter-finalist.

In 2017 wrote 10-episode crime drama Killer By Nature for Audible UK – adapted from spec screenplay  Monsters. Jan currently has projects in development with Expectation Entertainment, Intaglio/Red Riding Films and Studio21.

She is based in Edinburgh.
