SERIES OUTLINE
The Call of the Fox Children is a deeply moving and propulsive story about grief, truth and the power of believing. It is a stylised, sophisticated thriller which also delves into grounded magic realism by leaning into European folklore regarding the forest, posing the idea that there is a world beyond what we know. Inspired by the famous quote by John Muir, “Between every two pine trees there is a door leading to a new life”, this is ultimately a story about whose truth is right.
